Two things have become apparent of late. First, the planet is in serious trouble. Secondly, the places and way we get our energy are dangerous and becoming harder to find. These have led millions to switch to solar and wind power for home utilities. This lets these families keep their energy and the planet safe. Here's what beginners need to know.
Solar power utilizes the most plentiful source possible: the sun. All life on Earth is powered by our star-solar technology extends this energy to your home. I chose solar power as the ultimate renewable resource: no burning fossil fuels, perhaps the cleanest source of power available today, good for the air, water and climate. But not only is solar power clean, it is also the safest and most revolutionary energy source. No more depending on a power plant vulnerable to failure or attack hundreds of miles away-you have a power plant on your roof with solar panels. When everyone else is in the dark, your home is still comfortable. I was under the impression that solar cost an arm and a leg, but the newest generation of solar and wind power for home use is quite affordable. They also lowered my taxes and raised my home value: solar has been a smart investment. Even better, I used do-it-yourself solar panel kits to save a bunch of money on the front end. Probably the best supplement for your solar array is a windmill. When it is dark at night or stormy weather, your solar power might not work, but the wind is blowing hard. When you put together the two sources-ancient wind technology and the latest solar technology-you have the cleanest and safest home electricity possible. Wind power alone can do the job. It is simpler and cheaper to install than solar, and is just as green. It too is renewable, and with a windmill you have a secure power plant in your backyard. Whether you use just wind or both wind and solar power for home electricity, you'll be serving the future. Two other things should be noted. The mining and production ends of solar panels have come under some environmentalist scrutiny, and I have had some people warn me about my windmill's potential danger for birds flying nearby. Still, I know that my power is still much cleaner and safer than it was before I made the switch. With solar panels or windmills you ensure a safer, cleaner planet for your posterity. Every year brings lower prices for solar power, and the latest generation is designed to be installed by anybody. Windmills too can add to your solar array, or serve by themselves. Whichever you choose, our future depends on green technologies like these. Author Info: BUT WAIT A MOMENT: Read more about solar panel kits on my site. This is something you should really consider getting into. There is also more on home solar panels on my site if you click here.
