Find a good resource for healthy homemade dog food and dog treat recipes, and take control of what your dog is eating. And don't be fooled again! It's really not hard to find healthy homemade dog food recipes, and it's not hard to prepare them either. My wife and I have found some really great recipes online, and most recently we found a dog food and dog treat recipe book that totally surpasses, (in every respect), all of the others.

So how can you keep your dog healthy and happy? By using simple healthy dog recipes to cook for them. The benefit of cooking at home is that you know what your little friend is eating. You can cater a healthy diet based on his or her lifestyle. And the best part is you control how much and how little of each ingredient is used. The simplicity of making dog treats and meals at home is an added bonus because it doesn't take much to get the job done quickly and easily.

The choice to prepare home made dog food recipes might just save your pets life. It has been exposed that a large quantity of dog deaths have been caused by an ingestion of toxic substances contained in commercial dog food brands. Although, not all pet-food in our stores can be named as culprits, it's still more beneficial to be certain of what your family pet is taking in.

The ingredients in many commercial pet foods include meat by-products, fillers that don't have any nutritional value, like corn, preservatives, additives, and chemicals. Many of them are necessary to keep the freshness of the product and to improve taste, but it's a lot like us eating fast food. It fills us up and satisfies our appetites, but there isn't much nutrition in that kind of meal. Unlike people, dogs usually get the same food to eat with every meal, every day. Can you imagine how unhealthy most dogs must be?

Do you really know what you're feeding your dog? If you buy the cheapest food out there your dog is getting less nutrients than they need. There are some great chows and canned food on the market but they are very expensive. I recently went in to Petco to buy my usual premium canned food. In classic mind control subversion there were yellow labels on the shelves that declared new lower pricing when in fact the prices had gone up. I was absolutely furious about the price increase.

Dogs on a homemade dog food diet are healthier and have a lot more energy. They also don't get sick as much, if at all, and they have less risk of disease. And, of course, they live happier, longer lives. Now that you know these homemade dog food facts, you can begin to put them to good use by upgrading your dog's nutrition plan. With a little more research, you can begin looking for good recipes to use for your dog's meals. No longer will he dog have an unhealthy commercial brand meal. Wait til you see the difference.
