Though your talents and skills in business may well move you ahead in your career, the subtle extra zing may be related to wearing the right suit. If you lack the proper business attire, you can undermine your own credibility.

The business suit you choose will translate directly into how you are viewed by your business associates, and everyone else you encounter during your business dealings.

While we've all heard of those men who are known for being a sloppy dresser and wearing jeans to work, the fact is that these people are heading up huge businesses and can make their own rules - they would never be taken seriously unless they'd already paid their dues.

When you are attired in a stylish and neat way, it will automatically cause others to treat you with respect. Dressing in a nice business suit shows that you care about your appearance, and people will always realize that this means you care deeply about your work as well.

Sadly, in the upper corridors of business, a decent suit is not always enough. Here you need to be looking at the top designer labels. These will always be noticed and recognized. If you are submitting a proposal to the board of your prospective clients wearing a nice, well fitted top designer suit you will look the part and those listening will automatically assume you know what you are talking about.

Wearing a fashionable suit can be the most persuasive factor in bringing support to your presentation. Suits are emblems. If your suit is cheap and rumpled, some may believe that your thinking is not much better.

Just think about how you'd feel about watching a presentation from a salesperson who was hoping to induce you to buy his product. If he were wearing a cheap, ill-fitting suit, you'd probably think less of him and find it hard to take him seriously.

This may sound a little shallow, but it is a cold fact of life. Experts will tell you that forming a first impression is unavoidable. And first impressions really do count. How many times have we formed an opinion of someone simply because of the way they look, only to later discover that you were wrong. Dont ever allow that to happen to you. Always wear the best suit you can find. Create a great first impression.sometimes you may not have a second chance.
