If you think back to when you were a little girl, you can likely remember the warnings you about what sorts of guys were bad news. But as you grew up, you most likely found yourself attracted to some of the undesirable sorts of guys and ended up regretting it. The past is the past, but let's take a look at a few categories of guys that you should stay away from to keep you safe in the future!

You can probably still remember the words of advice your mother told you about what types of men to stay away from when you first became a adolescent. But as you aged, you probably found yourself attracted to one of the undesirable types of men and ended up regretting it. The past is the past, but let's take a look at a few categories of guys that you should avoid to keep you safe in the future!

First, let's talk about every girl's favorite and least favorite sort of man: the player. The reason that I say the player is every woman's favorite and least favorite sort of guy at once is that the player is usually misleadingly charming... initially. As time goes on, the player begins to show his true colors, and the relationship often ends in heartache for you, the woman.

So, what does a player really want, anyway? The truth is that players are often after different things. Some players simply feel good about charming and ultimately deceiving women, as it helps to grow their ego (which is a great feeling to a man). Other players are doing it merely for sexual satisfaction, and still others are in it to impress their friends or use women as stepping stones to improve their social status. The bottom line is that a player should be avoided because he cares about himself much more than he cares about you.

While a player may seem like a "bad guy", in the wacky world of dating sometimes even a good guy can be bad. I'm talking about men who are actually too nice. I'm sure you know the type! These sorts of men don't make you feel like you're with a man at all. While their constant adoration and affection can be cute at first, eventually their groupie-like behavior will become a major turn off. It can be very tempting to give these men a chance, but in the end, you need to realize that you need to be with a man that you can both respect and be attracted to for the long haul. That's the only way it will ever work.

Last but not least, you want to avoid the overly-macho controlling types of men. These men don't just make women feel uncomfortable, they can ruin their lives as they try to cut off all of their ties to the outside world and systematically break down their confidence. That doesn't sound like too much fun, does it? Luckily, you can usually spot signs of this behavior early on; be on the lookout.

If you're anything like other women, you'll probably meet your share of all three of these types of men while you look for your prince charming. Unfortunately, these experiences seem all too common in the dating world. But if you're careful, you can definitely kiss a lot less frogs in your life time!
