If you find yourself fascinated with seamlessly gazing through the window of a lighting store, the true excitement lies in front of you when you take a stroll through the stores aisles. There are literally thousands of different types of lighting fixtures to choose from, that at times choosing which one is right for you may be a challenge in itself.

Before engaging in a sense of compulsive spending you need to realize what sets one particular chandelier apart from the other.

One of the most famous and highly purchased chandeliers is the crystal chandeliers. These chandeliers are normally used to express extreme wealth and many people simply adore the elegant appeal of them. You can easily tell this chandelier apart from all the rest, it is normally seen with a plethora of glass and crystal shards hanging from its braced arms.

Another extremely popular chandelier is commonly referred to as a shell chandelier. The shell chandeliers bare many of the same qualities as their crystal counterparts; however they use a series of beads instead of crystals to accentuate their beauty.

The Murano glass chandeliers simply cry out extreme elegance. They are made to resemble the Murano region of fabulous Italy. The chandeliers are made solely from blown out glass and often times feature sea motifs on the outside of the glass to give the pieces a more Italian art feel.

There are also metal chandeliers which come in a variety of different metals that include nickel, iron, gold and brass. These chandeliers give a medieval feeling to any space that they occupy.

Antler chandeliers are handcrafted from the antlers of animals. They utilize 100% natural animal materials. However, since the chandeliers are all handcrafted they are a little bit on the expensive side and can be extremely hard to find.

Mission chandeliers bare a box like appearance. The arms of this chandelier are squared off, unlike traditional chandeliers whose arms appear well rounded. A lot of these particular types of chandeliers are made from wood or stained glass.

Then there are the candle chandeliers. These chandeliers are as close to the original chandelier as they come. You can choose to utilize the candle chandelier with candles cascading around the base or simply emulate the presence of candles by using bulbs that appear to look like candles. This particular chandelier brings a classic, yet vintage look to any room.

It is your prerogative what chandelier that you want to hang from your ceiling. A chandelier adds a feeling to a room unlike anything else, it is on your discretion if you want the feeling to be elegance, rustic, or pure class.
